Bereavement
When you have a funeral to organise. Please contact one of the Priests to arrange a suitable date. You will be guided through what is required, as in readings and hymns. Organist and Cantor if you require. Also you are asked for a brief biography of the person’s life. Sister Francoise ofm. also assists.
There is annual Mass for the bereaved each November to which the familles of those who have lost a loved one, in the preceding year, from October to September, are invited, as are all parishioners to offer support.
Older People’s Club
The objective of the club is to encourage people age 60+ to meet on a weekly basis to participate in social activities, to get to know fellow parishioners over bingo, friendly banter and tea, which in turn stimulates feelings of being part of a community which prevents feelings of loneliness and isolation! They meet every Monday at 1.30pm. In the hall in Daisy Street.
Fundraising by everyone pays for the treats. Volunteers are in attendance at all times to oversee the smooth running of the club’s curriculum
